General Questions
Of course! Everything you send us is returned to you in addition to any media we make for you.
Most orders are shipped out in 7 to 10 days after being received except for slides or photos which run about 3-4 weeks due to the labor involved.
Nope! We bill based on actual content., whether that be film, tapes, slides or photos. Which is why you wont be charged until your transfer is complete and we’ve had a chance to calculate the actual content that was on your precious memories.
It depends. If your film was scanned to VHS or DVD then yes. We can get about 2-3 times better quality today. If you originally had the slides scanned at 3000 DPI or higher with ICE then you probably don’t need to. Otherwise if you had a lower DPI scan done then yes, it would be worth it.
You don’t want to run any movie film through a projector today. Film shrinks over time and running it through a projector will damage it. Slides and most tapes can be viewed without damaging them.
All types of film, tapes, slides and photos. So, more specifically, 8mm, Super 8, 16mm and 35mm movie film, VHS, Betamax, Betacam, 8mm, Hi8, Digital 8, MiniDV, digital camcorders, all types of slides, negatives and photos.

Retail DVDs regardless of brand will have a lifetime of about 10 years and may fail as early as 2-5 according to the US National Archives. We offer both professional 25-year disks and archival 100-year disks.
We keep a digital backup for 30 days to ensure you get everything back safe and sound.
Film Questions
Of course! Not only are your original containers mailed back to you but all of your film is returned in better condition then when we received it due to our expert cleaning, repair and use of archival reels and cases.
Most orders are shipped out in 9 to 11 days after being received. If you need it back sooner we have a 2-3 business day RUSH service.
Nope! We always bill our customers based on actual content. This is why you’ll be billed after your transfer is complete and we have an accurate footage count.
Yes! Most film scanning machines around 10+ years ago used a modified projector and camcorder to transfer your precious memories to a low quality VHS tape. In doing so you only got about 40% of the details from your film. By transferring your film at our Pro HD or higher level professional services you will get 2-3 times better quality then your previous transfer.
It’s not a good idea to play them in your old projector anymore. Over the years your film has become fragile, has more then likely shrunk and will get damaged by the claw in your projector that moves the film. We suggest either using a magnifying glass with some sort of light source to get a decent idea of the films content or transfer your film and order editing files so you can edit it on your computer once they are returned to you.
We convert all the major film types including 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm, 16mm and 35mm film.

Tape Questions
Of course! All video tapes and their associated boxes are returned after they have been scanned.
Most orders are shipped out in 8 to 10 days after being received. If you need it back sooner we have a 1-2 business day RUSH service.
Nope! We bill based on actual content. Which is why you wont be charged until your transfer is complete and we’ve had a chance to calculate how many hours of actual content were on your tapes. We do have a 30 minute minimum per tape. So, if a tape has 15 minutes of content we would bill it as 30 minutes.
Absolutely! Through our Pro SD and higher processes we transfer your tapes with our high-end professional equipment resulting in the best available quality your tapes have to offer. We can also correct color issues, reduce video noise and remove minor tracking problems ensuring that your video is the best it can be!
Unfortunately if you no longer have a camcorder or deck to play them in, there isn’t really a way convenient way to preview or watch them before sending them to us. If this is the case we suggest either finding/searching for a compatible deck to buy (which can be upwards of $300+) or send them to us and order editing files so you can edit it on your computer once they are scanned and returned to you.
