If you are looking for the best quality Super 8 Conversion, look no further. We are the premiere Super 8 film transfer lab in the United States. We can scan your Super 8 film up to 1556 lines of resolution, higher than any other lab. In addition, our 2K (1556) line scanner is also a Datacine machine which has only been used for Hollywood films in the past.
Of course we know that families and producers have different budgets they are working with. This is why we offer a variety of scanning options below to meet everyone's needs. In addition to the different Super 8 conversion resolutions, we also offer a wide variety of formats from DVD, BluRay, Editing files and the ultimate master format, DPX. If you need a different format let us know, we can produce anything you need. DVD and BluRay are great for viewing but will not last as long as you need them to in order to preserve your family history. The best option is an editing format like HD-AVI or ProRes. These are near master quality and will not lock you into DVD or BluRay. In fact, you can create anything from these files including DVD, BluRay, vidos. In the near future you will be able to stream the video from your computer directly to your TV as well.
Breaking News: We are a company continually researching and developing new technologies to get more quality from your film. We are very proud to offer our brand new Advanced Grain Elimination Technology. It removes 95% of grain and video noise from film to give you a clean and sharp video from your old movies. It is an amazing technology that has been in development for years.

The 1960's and 1970's were a great time in the United States. Those great moments were captured on Super 8 film. Super 8 film has a minimum of 1000 lines of resolution. We've seen some Super 8 Conversions that look like it has more than HD resolution. And, in many cases it does.
We offer professional Super 8 film conversions called our Pro HD and Pro 2K process. Both include restoration and both are at the top of the professional scanning world for Super 8 film. Many labs contact us to scan their Super 8 film for them at 2K resolution for documentaries and other professional projects.
Many of our clients want their Super 8 conversion to something like DVD. In order to get all the resolution from the scan you would really want to convert the Super 8 to BluRay or some kind of HD editing format like HD-AVI, ProRes or the ultimate master format DPX. If you choose your Super 8 Conversion to DVD or BluRay know that we only use archival media that will outlive your player. Store bought DVDs or BluRay only last an average of 10 years.
Finding a company you can trust is not easy today. Do your homework and look for company reviews to help guide you. As Terri commented in our BBB review, "I am incredibly happy with Video Conversion Experts. I sent over 7000 feet of very old Super 8 film with weak splices to Arizona from California. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to see all these family memories preserved from the 1950's and 1960's and it was so painless. I couldn't give high enough marks for this company!"
Our service is the best in the business and so is our customer support. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with our results please contact us to discuss any options. *Quality of film conversion and restoration is dependent upon condition of existing film stock and/or videotape; severely deteriorated original materials may be beyond the reach of even the most sophisticated restoration methods.
